FIVE TEAMS SUBMIT QUALIFICATIONS TO BUILD AN AUTOMATED PEOPLE MOVER AT LAX
(Los Angeles, California – August 12, 2016)  Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) officials announced today that 5 teams submitted Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) for delivering an Automated People Mover (APM), the first – and a complex and challenging element of the proposed Landside Access Modernization Program (LAMP) which would create a world-class transportation system for Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

LAX OPENS SEVEN INDOOR RELIEF STATIONS FOR SERVICE ANIMALS, PETS; NEW FACILITIES ENHANCE PASSENGER CONVENIENCE
(Los Angeles, California -- August 5, 2016) Airport officials today announced the opening of seven indoor animal-relief stations at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). These seven new stations -- plus an existing one in the Tom Bradley International Terminal -- are located beyond federal passenger security screening checkpoints in all the terminals.

LAX TO RECEIVE $4-MILLION FEDERAL GRANT FOR VOLUNTARY AIRPORT LOW EMISSIONS PROGRAM (VALE) PROJECT
